Australian Kiteboarding & SUP BlogLatest news and updates about Australian Kiteboard and Stand Up Paddle. A previously non AKS customer tries the new Ozone Reo in real conditions and orders two more! Hi Peeps, A few weeks ago I sold a couple of Ozone Reo kites to a customer who was heading up on his annual holiday in the North West of WA. He had been given a tip from a friend of his who had recently changed his previous new surf kites over to Reo's. The recommendation came shortly before his planned trip and he had no chance to drop in and grab hold of a couple of demo kites first. We told him of the characteristics of the kites and he was left with little choice to purchase not only without having flown the kites, but without having even seen one in the flesh. This was a leap of faith on his part. We packaged up a 10m and 8m as per his request and a family member of his dropped in and collected the kites for him. Today I received an email from him ordering a 12m and also the 6m in the Reo's to be sent to Carnarvon where he has another two weeks left of his holiday. This practically completes his set with 12, 10, 8 and 6m. LOL! The perfect quiver! Here is an unedited quote from his email. I have withheld his name for obvious reasons. "Today was the first day I have used the reo in the conditions it was meant for (not 11knots flat water) It is absolutely the best thing in the wave, nothing come close to it, simply perfection. The wipe is impressive, not the maneuverability, anything small will turn sharp, it is the insane exaltation in medium arc bottom turn and the surprising stability and usable in better condition witch is surprising." Thanks for the order mate, the kites are on their way to Carnarvon on Monday and should be there for Tuesday. If you haven't tried a Reo yet and you ride waves, drop in and grab one for a demo, a no BS kite that will open up a world of progression in the waves. I also have a couple of demo kites at Gnaraloo for those in the area. See the tall bloke ;-) that answers to Lozza Cheers all, DM
