Fanatic make a variety of paddles for the beginner all the way up to the pro. The difference is mainly the materials, weight and stiffness.
The Standard Paddle is an adjustable Aluminium Shaft with plastic 8" blade. For the beginner, the standard will do all you need. (170-210 cm)
The Carbon 40 Paddle is a carbon shaft made up of 40% carbon it is stiffer and lighter than the standard. The blade is 8" wide bamboo . (215cm)
The Carbon 80 Paddle is a carbon shaft made up of 80% carbon it is stiffer than the 40% paddle. The blade is either 8" or 8.75" bamboo and carbon reinforced blade. (215cm)
The Carbon Pro Paddle is recommended for pro athletes only as the stiffness of the 100% carbon paddle is harsh on hands and muscles. Not easy to use but great performance.(215cm)
All carbon paddles can be cut down to suit and then the handle re-glued.
